VisitaReal is a visitor tracking/ online booking travel system of the Municipality of Real, Quezon which specifically helps in visitor tracking, contact tracing, travel management and booking which is more suitable in this COVID-19 Pandemic. By aggregating all reports, VisitaReal enables the Government to immediately respond to peoples’ needs and make informed and timely decisions to keep Filipinos safe in the midst of this pandemic. The system, which is made available in desktop and mobile version, aims to complement the ease for travel management, visitor contact tracing by the use of QR Codes, online accommodation booking and travel scheduling. It also aims to boost the Municipality of Real’s Tourism.

My Creative Panda Web Design and Development Consultancy Services developed the system for the Local Government of Real, Quezon to help boost their tourism and digitize visitor tracking in this COVID-19 pandemic. VisitaReal is a project of the Municipality of Real. Therefore, The Local Government Unit of Real is the established Personal Information Controller, and will perform the centralized management of Visita Real. Any reference to “WE” or “OUR” means the VisitaReal website and/or—collectively—the Municipality of Real.

This Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, process, and share; why we do so; and your rights with regard to your information. We process your information in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 (the “Data Privacy Act”). We may amend this Privacy Notice from time to time. When certain changes require your consent, we shall communicate the changes to you and ask for your consent. Otherwise, changes take effect immediately upon posting.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We at VisitaReal are advocates of data privacy, and ensure that we will only require what is completely necessary for the application to perform its functions. No information will be collected from our users until they have agreed to the terms and conditions provided in our privacy policy and have given their consent. To register an account, all we require from the user is their Name, Sex, Birthdate, Contact Number, Email Address, Password and Address. Upon account creation, a QR ID with the necessary information inputted by the user will appear on the user’s homepage. This can be presented to any registered establishment/ vicinity of Real. Once the QR ID is scanned, personal information such as Name, Date and Time of Visit and the QR Code will be recorded to our system for contact tracing purposes. In the User’s Homepage, there is a Travel Scheduler Function which asks users to fill out the travel scheduler for us to gather information When you use the VisitaReal, the following information may also be obtained:

• • Information contained in any communication or report that you submit to VisitaReal, including metadata associated with such communication

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION

• • We collect your information to enable contact tracing within the vicinity of Real, Quezon.


• • Your email address/mobile number is collected to uniquely identify your account and for cybersecurity purposes.


• • Send you email notification related to VisitaReal.


• • Information collected via the QR Code Scanner function is paramount for establishments to conduct proper and efficient contact tracing.


• • Ensure that VisitaReal works as it should and you are able to browse VisitaReal safely and securely. We also collect your information to track bugs, errors, and usage statistics. In case of any security incident or data breach, we may also use your information in our investigative reporting to the National Privacy Commission.

HOW WE USE, SHARE, AND RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION

Use
When we can, we submit collected information in an aggregated manner to ensure Users’ privacy. We use your information to contact tracing and as records for the Local Government. The information provided will be used to deliver and provide the following actions:

• QR ID – The information collected will serve as basis for the generated QR ID of the person


• Digital Contact Tracing – The information gathered will be used to monitor the person’s movement within the vicinity of Real, Quezon.


• Online Booking/ Reservation – The information gathered will be used to distinguish the identity of the user when making a reservation/ booking using the Visita Real.

Share
We use your information to maintain and improve VisitaReal. Only authorized personnel of VisitaReal have access to your information on how you use VisitaReal. The third-party provider of our data centers does not have access to information that will enable your identification.

Retention
Users may request to have their data deleted at any given time throughout the retention period by contacting us.

Destruction
The use of data in VisitaReal shall conform to existing and applicable rules as stipulated in the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Following are guidelines on destruction of data in VisitaReal:

• • Users can completely delete their registered data by asking permission to the Administrator.

While there is no guarantee that information sent over the internet is fully secured, we keep and protect your information using a secured server behind a firewall, encryption, and security controls

EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS

The Data Privacy Act affords you the following rights with regards to your personal data/information:

• • To be informed whether Personal Data pertaining to him or her shall be, are being, or have been processed;


• • To reasonable access to any Personal Data collected and processed in duration of employment;


• • To suspend, withdraw, or order the blocking, removal, or destruction of Personal Data from the relevant company’s filing system;


• • To dispute the inaccuracy or error in Personal Data, and the relevant company shall correct it immediately and accordingly, upon the request unless the request is vexatious or otherwise unreasonable;


• • Where the Data Subject’s Personal Data is processed through electronic means and in a structured and commonly used format, the Data Subject has the right to obtain a copy of such data in an electronic or structured format that is commonly used and allows for further use by the Data Subject;
