GUIDELINES, REGISTRATION AND MECHANICS
GUIDELINES
1. If the organizers decide it is essential for safety concerns, they have the right to cancel the event.
2. The organizers retain the authority to refuse or cancel any entry at their discretion, including instances where the dog or handler aggressive behavior or the existence of a physical condition that is harmful to health.
REGISTRATION
✓ Participation in the Pet Parade and Costume Competition is open to all pet owners who have pre-registered. However, there are only 45 slots available for participants. Additionally, anyone who has pre-registered is welcome to join other online competitions, such as the photo contest and best facebook reels.
✓ ONLY pre-registered participants will be allowed to join Pet Festival Activities.
A. PET PARADE AND COSTUME COMPETITION
Registration – All participants should pre-register at the Municipal Agriculture Office,
2nd Floor Joel Amando A. Diestro Building, Municipal Government Center, on June 1 to June 15, 2023 from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
Please ensure that all dogs are vaccinated against Rabies at least 14 days prior to the event and within one year from their last vaccination. Please bring the vaccination record and any other relevant documents during the pre-registration process.
1. Participants are required to show up on June 21, 2023, exactly 1:00pm at the show venue (4th Floor, Joel Amando A. Diestro Building, Municipal Government Center,).
2. A licensed veterinarian must conduct a physical examination of all dog entries prior to the start of the competition.
3. ONLY individuals who are officially registered as participants are permitted to take part in the event.
4. Each participant will receive a designated number for their respective contests, which must be used throughout the entire duration of the show.
5. All dog entries must be accompanied by a designated handler, ensuring one dog, one handler.
6. Dogs must always remain leashed while walking. Any dog found roaming without a leash will be disqualified from the competition.
– Dogs of any breed are welcome to participate
– Dogs should wear costumes or accessories in a free-style
– Each dog will be called individually and given a 2-minutes time slot to showcase their costume.
– Awards will be presented for the second place, first runner-up, and the Best Costume of the year, recognizing the dogs with the most creative costumes.

B. PHOTO CONTEST: COVER PET MODEL OF THE YEAR

JUDGING
1. Ample time will be allocated to evaluate all participants, and their scores will be determined according to the criteria established by the organizers.
2. The collection and computation of scores sheets will occur only after all registered contestants have been assessed by the judges.
3. The announcement of winners will follow once the scores have been tabulated.
4. Judges’ decision is final

WAITING AREA
1. Prior to the event, a brief orientation will be conducted to provide instructions on the guidelines and procedures.
2. All participants are required to wait for their turn in a designated area specified by the Organizers.
3. Dogs must be kept inside a cage and always remain leashed.
4. Owners/handlers have the responsibility of properly disposing of their pet’s waste in designated waste bins.
5. If any assistance is required, dog handlers should approach any member of the organizing team for help.
